What’s up, everybody?!  And welcome to the Freshhhh Heat Teen Poetry Lounge! - ONLINE! - This is the only expressive writingWEBSITE in the city that showcases the hottest young poets spitting the type of innovative and creative speech that only the youth can master! So when I say, “Keep it!” y’all say, “Freshhhh!”  Keep it! _______  Keep it! _______ Now this is not a disclaimer, because disclaimers only say what people are not holding themselves responsible for. This is a “claimer.” It is saying what we embrace, encourage, require, and claim to be our responsibility!  Keep it! _______  Keep it! _______ 

 

We embrace new and original points of view and forms of expression, because this is the only way that true poetry can grow. Word? _______ We encourage support from the audience and our fellow poets, because this is the only way that true poetry can remain true. Word? _______ We require the audience to respect the sensitivities of the poets and for the poets to respect the sensibilities of the audience, because this is the only way truth can be protected. Word? ______ We will create an unsafe space with hurtful language. Word? BOO! We claim responsibility for appreciating the diversity of races, religions, political philosophies, and lifestyles that will be represented in our poetry, because it is just that, OUR POETRY and anyone who reads is our fellow artist; no matter what statement their art makes. Lastly, we invite everyone here this evening to have a freshhhh and hot time! So keep it! ________  Keep it! _______  Keep it! _______
